JUPITER, Fla. (AP) - Coast Guard officials have suspended their search for a 16-year-old who went missing near the Jupiter Inlet in South Florida.
The Palm Beach Post reports Billy Patient was swimming in the ocean with about a dozen other boys amid semi-rough seas when he didn't return Sunday. The teen's uncle, Joe Stewart, said Patient's clothes and wallet were still on the beach.
Coast Guard officials sent several boats to look for the unidentified teen, searching more than 1,000 square nautical miles over more than 40 hours.
The search was suspended Tuesday.
