MELBOURNE, Fla. (AP) — The Royal Caribbean cruise ship Oasis of the Seas is coming to Port Canaveral.

The cruise line announced Thursday that they'll begin offering seven-night Caribbean cruises from the central Florida port during the winter of 2016-17.

Florida Today reports Oasis of the Seas will be the biggest ship to be based at Port Canaveral. The ship has a double-occupancy capacity of 5,400 passengers and a total capacity of 6,360. It carries a crew of 2,394.

The cruise line also announced Rhapsody of the seas will take over three- and four-night Bahamas cruises from Enchantment of the Seas.

Port authorities say Royal Caribbean partnered with Port Canaveral on construction of a new cruise terminal that opened in December.
