TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) – Cascades Park is open to the public in downtown Tallahassee.
The $30+ million project transformed a 25 acre area in the shadow of the Florida Capitol. More than a 1,000 quests showed up for the grand opening ceremony.
The project completed by BluePrint 2000 includes a number of recreational amenities, including walking and jogging trails, a number of ponds, two bridges and an amphitheater which will have 1,500 capacity permanent stadium seating and a grass area that can accommodate another 2,500 people. The park will also feature a full service restaurant.
