SEMINOLE CO., Fla. (CNN)-- A Florida school bus driver-- for the second time --- after footage shows him texting while driving.
The video, taken in December, shows Robert Stancheski appearing to check his text messages during his route. It shows him taking his eye off the road several times, even taking both of his hands off the wheel.
Parents at the elementary school where he picked up students were appalled.
"I don't ever text while I drive, and he shouldn't be doing it either," Alex Gonzalez, a parent, said. "They have kids' lives in their hands."
This isn't the first time Stancheski was caught with a phone in his hands, he was suspended last April when after he appeared to be texting and driving in another video. That time, he got into a minor accident moments later.
Stancheski has been with the Seminole County School District for two years. He has been suspended without his $11 an hour pay for the last three weeks for this latest infraction.
He wasn't home the last time Orlando ABC station WFTV stopped by, but he told reporters that he is fighting to keep his job. However, he refused to answer any questions.
Many parents,however, say that he doesn't deserve another chance.
District officials say no students were on the bus during the two incidents. The school board will vote on his termination next week.
Parents say their children's lives could be in danger with a driver like this behind the wheel.
"If he's already been in trouble for it once and continuing to do it, I would think that, yes, he should probably be fired," Nikkole Newman said.
