(WTXL) — The National Weather Service says falling iguanas are possible Tuesday night ahead of the season's coldest night.
NWS Miami issued an alert on Tuesday telling residents in South Florida not to be surprised by a falling iguana.

Because the reptiles are cold blooded, they slow down, freeze in place, and even fall out of trees when temperatures drop below 40s. While the reptiles appear to be suddenly dropping from the sky, NWS says they are likely still alive.
If you come across a stunned iguana, don’t touch it. They'll thaw out on their own.
