All Panama City, Bay County beaches to reopen on Friday

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WTXL) — All beaches in Panama City will be allowed to reopened on Friday.

At a Thursday meeting broadcast on Facebook, the Panama City Beach City Council unanimously voted to reopen all beaches in the area.

The beaches will officially be reopened at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, May 1 with no time restrictions.

According to officials, the beaches are not open to visitors, though they did not outline how they would restrict visitor access during their meeting.

Beachgoers are still expected to follow social distancing guidelines from the state and the CDC while utilizing the beaches.

According to WMBB, Bay County beaches will also open without time restrictions on Friday.
