TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Attorney General Pam Bondi has filed a lawsuit against an optical disc drive maker over price-fixing allegations.

A complaint was filed Thursday. It alleges that Hitachi-LG Data Storage and a subsidiary tried to rig bids for optical disc drives sold to Dell and Hewlett-Packard. They're two of the bigger PC manufacturers. The drives read and write CDs and DVDs.

Bondi said in a statement she sued on behalf of Florida consumers. She said price-fixing hurts business competition and requires customers to pay higher prices for products.

Hitachi-LG Data Storage was charged in San Francisco federal court in 2011. It paid a $21 million fine. The complaint also named 24 other companies in the price-fixing conspiracy.
