TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Florida A&M University police responded to multiple calls this weekend, following a threat made on Facebook.

On a Facebook profile named "Jhn Hdsn" a young man posted what appeared to be a threat. He posted, "Someone needs to have FAMU president contact me ASAP before innocent people perish tonight, and I'm not going to be the suspect."

Later on, he went to say "you all have until 9 p-m" and "I'll be waiting."

FAMU police was alerted to that post and spoke with the man. Later the univesity posted on its Facebook page, that the incident had been addressed and there was no threat to the safety of students.

However, students on campus today were still shaken up by the incident.

"I think it needs to be taken seriously weather its real or not a threat is a threat you never really know till after the fact," said Quinn St. John.

Another student, Nate Domond, added, "Around that time i was contacting my family telling them i was ok and my sister i was making sure she was ok and everything."

The post has been removed from Facebook.
