TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - It's homecoming week for Florida A&M University, and school officials say there are some changes coming to one of the biggest events of the week -- Saturday's homecoming parade.
The school says after working with city officials and getting input from students, they've decided to tweak the route to showcase the "main street" of campus.
The new route will start on Wanhish Way and Orange Avenue, and continue down Wanhish, turning right on Gamble Street and proceed to South Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. The parade will finish at MLK and Osceola Street.
Officials say this will allow parade-goers to see more school landmarks such as Coleman Library and the Eternal Flame.
the parade starts saturday at eight a-m.
