CAIRO, Ga. (WTXL) — The Republican Party of Georgia has announced that Sen. David Perdue will be visiting Cairo as part of his "Win Georgia, Save America Bus Tour," ahead of the Jan. 5 U.S. Senate runoff elections in the state.

The visit is to encourage voters to get out and vote early and will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at the Grady County GOP office at 115 S. Broad St., according to the party.

Perdue will face off against Democratic opponent Jon Ossoff on Jan. 5.

This news comes hours after the announcement that his challenger Ossoff as well as fellow Democratic candidate Rev. Raphael Warnock would be visiting South Georgia on the same day.
