BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WALB) - The city of Bainbridge is continuing efforts to revitalize their downtown area, with two more stores opening this weekend.

The revitalization plan for downtown Bainbridge is well underway. Many shop owners can see the difference already.

Heather and Tyler Thomas are local business owners of the American Restaurant, which sits on the inner circle of the downtown circle.

They believe that with shops moving in, will benefit not just them, but the city as well.

The Thomas family believes in the city and what it can do.

That's why they have decided to help in the revitalization plan, and are making plans to open a open a boutique hotel right across the street.

The building for the boutique hotel has been vacant since the 1950's.

The Thomas family wants to restore as much of the city as possible.

Although the city has a little work left to do, members like these are doing the best they can to ensure that their family sees Bainbridge for the beautiful city it is.

A date has not been set yet as to when the boutique hotel will open, but the Thomas family is excited.
