BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) – After months of refurbishing two buildings in downtown Bainbridge, and plenty of local anticipation, "Diablo's Southwest Grill" is finally open for business.
The city of Bainbridge continues to grow with the newest addition being Diablo's Southwest Grill. This Augusta based restaurant chain offers the downtown area another variety of food.
Burritos, tacos, quesadillas and even burrito bowls all made with fresh ingredients. This dining experience is meant to be casual and quick.
Building Diablo's however, took some time due. Two buildings had to be gutted, connected, and updated all in a way that still fit with the rest of the historic downtown.
Dozens of people waited to be among the first to have lunch at Diablo's and no one left disappointed.
This Diablo's, and the one in Thomasville are the only locations in south Georgia, but the owners are excited to be a part of the Bainbridge community.
"It's so cool to come into a new town. You get to meet a lot of fantastic people. It's really satisfying to see them grow and prosper with us," said Co-Founder Brandon Wall.
Residents WTXL spoke to are hopeful that Diablo's will bring more growth and visitors downtown.
