Chiles High Student Killed in Saturday Morning Crash

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A Chiles High School student died Saturday morning after a crash that involved five other minors.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office says that at 8:21am, officers responded to reports of a car that had crashed into a ditch on the 9000 block of Old Chemonie Road. Officers, along with the Tallahassee Fire Department and Leon County EMS, responded to to the scene.

According to officers, a 15-year-old was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe with five passengers in the car. Officers say that the car rolled over, causing 14-year-old Ansley Rayborn to get ejected from the car. According to the sheriff's office, Rayborn died on scene as a result of trauma.

The driver and the other four passengers were brought to Tallahassee Memorial with non-life threatening injuries.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office says that their investigation into the crash and the circumstances surrounding it are still ongoing.
