BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WALB) - Big changes are in store for Bainbridge's annual Fourth of July festivities.
This year's celebration is called "Star Spangled Flint," and it's going to look much different from the previous years.
You can expect the traditional fireworks display, but this time it will be choreographed to music.
A new VIP tent will allow guests to escape the heat, with plenty of food and drinks, and a perfect place to watch live performances and the firework show.
This event is a long-standing tradition that brings out hundreds of people each year.
"This is something that just brings everybody together. You get this overwhelming sense of pride in your community because its always been that longstanding tradition here," said Megan Wimberley, Special Events Coordinator for City of Bainbridge.
The celebration starts at 5:30 p.m at the Bainbridge Boat Basin. It's made possible by the City of Bainbridge and business sponsors in the community including Taurus USA.
