TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Its been over a month since Hurricane Michael devastated the Florida Panhandle and people in Marianna are still feeling the effects of the massive hurricane.

On Thursday,  the community in Marianna could forget about those worries and come together and share a thanksgiving meal for free.

At Trinity Powerhouse Church about 300 people stopped by to get donated winter clothes and have a full Thanksgiving meal.

The organizer said the amount of help they received shows the passion people have to help each other.

"We are getting calls we are getting people asking for help and Trinity Powerhouse has stepped up and just allowed us to do everything here and its just been amazing and everybody been we have had stuff coming everyday this week we have had supplies," said Event Organizer Missy Harcus.

Trinity Powerhouse said they hope to have a Christmas day meal give away.
