NAPLES, FL (WWSB) - The Conservancy of Southwest Florida documented a Burmese python eating a white tail deer that weighed more than itself.

Land Managers of Collier-Seminole State Park discovered an 11 foot female Burmese python in the park with a large bulge.

When the snake was captured, wildlife biologists say the snake regurgitated a young white-tailed deer.

According to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, the fawn's mass was 35 pounds and the python weighed 31.5 pounds.

The Conservancy says this is the largest predator to prey ratio ever documented for a Burmese python and the findings will be published in the March 2018 issue of Herpetological Review
