BELL GARDENS, CA (CNN) - A young boy who put a quarter in a vending machine at a Los Angeles restaurant got a real surprise Tuesday.
Bell Gardens police said a small balloon was dispensed.
As the boy was playing with it, it broke open and was full of white powder.
The boy's mother called police, and tests came back positive for cocaine.
Police said the boy did not ingest the drug, so he was okay.
They seized 17 toys from the vending machine, recovering a total of 136 grams of illegal drugs.
