BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) - A man who led Bainbridge officers on a chase with a child in the car was arrested early Sunday morning.
Aaron Jones was a passenger in a car that pulled into a Circle K on Tallahassee Highway about 4 a.m. Sunday, Bainbridge Public Safety said on Facebook. Surrounded by officers, Jones surrendered without incident.
Officials had received an anonymous tip on his whereabouts that said Jones had a firearm.
On Sept. 4, 2018, Jones fled following a traffic stop, leaving his child behind.
Jones has outstanding warrants and a probation violation and has been wanted since September 4.
Searching the vehicle, officers uncovered a bookbag belonging to Jones that contained a firearm, Ecstasy pills, scales and 9.5 ounces of marijuana.
He was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (felony), possession of a firearm with intent to commit a crime (felony), and possession of illegal drugs (felony).

BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - A man who led Bainbridge officers on a chase with a child in the car remains on the run.
Police are searching for Aaron Jones.
Officers stopped him Tuesday night near the intersection of MLK Jr. Drive and Lamar Street and noticed a child standing in the back seat and a strong odor of marijuana.
When asked to step out of the vehicle Jones sped off and crashed a short distance away after striking a road sign. Jones left the child behind and took off running.
"We pulled the vehicle from where the wreck was , and conducted a search of that vehicle at the time," said K-9 Officer Jayson Myers. "And in the trunk of the vehicle we located a child's backpack that contained a quantity of ecstasy tablets, cocaine and spice."
