TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Police arrest a woman Friday after her call for help was to cover up her own theft.

Brandy Gramling called the Marianna Police Department claiming to be a victim to an armed robbery. Gramling told police that an armed man came in and stole money and then shut her in a walk-in freezer.

The alleged theft took place at the Sub-way Restaurant Gramling worked at on Lafayette Street.

As Gramling told her story, police found a different one watching security tapes. The video shows the 39-year-old taking money and hiding it. She is then seen shutting herself in the freezer.

After police arrested Gramling, she admitted the whole story was a cover for the theft. She was taken to the Jackson County Correctional Facility on two felony charges. She is charged with false report felony to law enforcement and grand theft.
