Halloween is almost here! If you’re looking for somewhere to take your kids for some spooky crafting fun before the big night of trick-or-treating, you won’t want to miss two Halloween-inspired free craft events at Michaels.
Both events are on Oct. 26, and all supplies will be included. You just need to sign up online ahead of time for the event at your local Michaels. Note: You’ll need to stay with your children during the event.
At the first event, from 10 a.m. to noon, kids ages 3 and older can make this spider web photo frame. Michaels doesn’t explain exactly how the craft will be made, but it looks like you may be able to slide a photo right between the webbing. Your child will get to take the frame home with them and put their own photo in it.
During the second spooktacular crafting event, your kids can make a container for monster bash slime. Kids will not be making the slime, just the cute orange-and-black container it goes in. Everything is free, including premade slime, and it runs 1-3 p.m. on Oct. 26.
If you can’t make it to Michaels for the kids’ craft events on Oct. 26, you might want to check out a different craft event, on Oct. 19 — but this one’s not free. For $3 per project, your kids can make a googly-eyed pencil monster. The event is from 10 a.m.-noon and is for ages 3 and up. How fun are these monster pencil toppers?
If your kids enjoy baking Halloween treats, you might want to check out two Halloween baking events at Joann stores. Neither are free, but both are currently discounted to $17.50 instead of the regular price of $35. One class will have your little one decorating a Halloween cake that includes spider webs and ghosts, while another will show them how to decorate Halloween cookies. Dates vary, and you’ll need to pick up your supplies, as they are not included.
Or, stay in and try some of these fun Halloween ideas that include crafts and food you can do right at home.
Happy Halloween!
