TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- This What's to Eat was all about a healthy and easy to make dish for parties and events: no-mayo shrimp salad.

Chef Tim Spain, head chef at the Capital Regional Medical Center, stopped by WTXL Sunrise to share the recipe he created himself.

Chef Spain suggests getting all your ingredients together and chopped up before you begin.

You will need:

2 cooked Gulf shrimp, diced

2 fresh avocado, diced

1 red onion, diced

1 bunch cilantro, chopped

1 tablespoon lime zest, finely chopped

1/2 cup key lime juice

2 tablespoons sugar

1/4 tablespoon salt

2 tomatoes, diced (no seeds)

1 jalapeno, finely diced (no seeds)

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and lightly toss. Chill to 41 or below and serve over a piece of watermelon.
