(WTXL) — Cody Switzer from Florida State University joined us on WTXL Sunrise Friday morning to talk about the annual Florida Guitar Festival.
The 2019 Florida Guitar Festival is happening at the Florida State University College of Music (122 N Copeland St, Tallahassee, FL 32304) from October 11-13.
The Florida Guitar Festival aims to build community, increase professionalism, and to educate within the classical guitar world by bringing a yearly competition experience to the Tallahassee area that includes high-quality masterclasses, multi-division competitions, and concerts by highly revered classical guitarists.
The multi-day event will feature concerts/masterclasses put on by fabulous guest artists including Rene Izquierdo, the Kithara Duo, Elliot Frank, and 2018 Competition Winner Dragos Ilie.
The entire event is free and open to the public.
