Man connected to Jackson Bluff Road shooting in May faces attempted murder charges

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A man connected to a shooting at Broadmoor Park that left a man unable to speak, has finally been booked into the Leon County Jail on attempted first degree murder charges.

Court documents say Alfred Riley, 37, was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility on Friday.

Riley was originally arrest earlier this month by the Boyne City, Michigan Police Department for warrants obtained by Leon County Sheriff’s Office detectives.

The warrants obtained by LCSO detectives were for the May 26 shooting that took place at Broadmoor Park on Jackson Bluff Road.

As of Monday, Riley is being held without bond on charges of attempted first degree murder, possession of firearm by convicted felon, possession of firearm on the commission of a felony.

37-year-old Alfred Riley, II, was arrested in by the Boyne City, Michigan Police Department for warrants obtained by Leon County Sheriff’s Office detectives.

Riley is currently in the Charlevoix County Jail.

He is being charged with attempted first degree murder, possession of firearm by convicted felon, possession of firearm on the commission of a felony.

Patrick Hill, the victim in this investigation, has been released from the hospital.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding family members for the victim in Sunday's shooting on Jackson Bluff Road.

LCSO says 54-year-old Patrick Hill was shot at Broadmoor Park on Jackson Bluff Road Sunday and walked to a nearby business for help.

Hill is recovering at a local hospital but is unable to speak to communicate who his next of kin is.

According to the Leon County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched at about 1 p.m. this afternoon to a business in the 4600 block of Blountstown Highway.

They were called in reference to a victim who was shot.

When deputies arrived, they learned that the incident happened at a nearby park on Jackson Bluff Road.

The victim walked to a nearby business to get help.

Deputies say the victim is in stable condition and is being treated at a local hospital.

The case is being investigated by LCSO Violent Crimes detectives.
