Valdosta man shows "real-life heroes" battling coronavirus pandemic

VALDOSTA, FL (WTXL) - — A Valdosta man is documenting the real-life-heroes battling the coronavirus-pandemic.

Javon Longieliere said he wants to shed light on all essential-workers who can't stay home to quarantine, like nurses and grocery-store workers. He's taking pictures of them-in uniform. The photographer said his wife works at a hospital and that essential-workers deserve all the recognition they can get.

"These are ordinary people that leave their houses everyday and go to work and put their lives at risk and as sad as it is put their families at risk just to keep the community going," said Longieliere.

Longieliere said he is going to continue photographing as may essential-workers as possible.
