While it’s easy to find deals this time of year, it’s not often that you get a discount on gift cards, essentially giving you free money.
You can find discounted gift cards year-round at warehouse clubs like Sam’s Club, but you’ll have to have a membership to get the deal. Once a year, however, Target has a sale that is pretty hard to beat — and no membership is required.
On Sunday, Dec. 8 only, you can get 10% off Target gift cards both in-store and online. While gift cards will cost 10% less, their value will be the same, so, for example, a $25 gift card will end up costing $22.50, giving you $2.50 for free.
A $50 gift card will cost $45, so you’ll get $5 for free and a $100 gift card costs $90, giving you $10 for free.
The offer is valid for up to $300 in Target gift card purchases ($30 maximum discount) per household. You must purchase a gift card worth at least $10 to get the 10% discount. Quantities are limited and there are no rainchecks.
Gift cards purchased during the sale can be used starting Monday, Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. EST. Gift cards do not expire, so you can grab some for holiday or birthday gifts, or just for yourself!
The discount does not apply to Target Visa, MasterCard or American Express gift cards or gift cards issued by other retailers such as dining, lifestyle and entertaining gift cards. You can see all the details and fine print on Target’s website.
If you’re not able to grab a gift card before the deal expires, you can get 5% off specialty gift cards every day if you sign up for a Target RedCard.
Specialty gift cards are available for stores like Disney, restaurants like The Cheesecake Factory and Red Lobster, and other retailers.
Will you be taking advantage of this deal and picking up some Target gift cards?
