New walk-up COVID-19 testing site to open at FAMU's Bragg Stadium

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida A&M University Bragg Stadium parking lot will be hosting a walk-up COVID-19 testing site beginning this Saturday.

According to the university, the site will operate to mainly assist residents of Tallahassee’s southside.

It's scheduled to operate for 14 consecutive days, starting April 25 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Organizers plan to conduct 200 tests per day. Testing is free and open to the public.

Those who believe they have COVID-19 symptoms can make an appointment or walk up for testing.

The Florida Department of Health will notify individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19, while the Bond Community Health Center staff will call those whose tests are negative. No physician referral is required

The testing site is organized by FAMU and the Bond Community Health Center, with logistical and other support from the Florida Department of Health and the Florida Department of Management Services.
