TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Another Friday, Another Sunrise Rocks. It also means another second cup performance. This morning we were treated to an encore performance with musician Haiqiong Deng.
Deng plays the Chinese Zheng. It's a traditional plucked string instrument and dates back to three thousand years ago.
Deng made her professional music debut in Beijing back in 1997. Since then she's made her mark as an international Zheng soloist and chamber musician with several performances throughout China, Canada, Japan, Singapore and North America.
The musician is also apart of Tallahassee Music Week.
But if you don't want to wait until April to hear her play, you're in luck. Deng is performing at the FSU Rainbow Concert this Monday at the Ruby Diamond Concert Hall.
