Dave is trading in his winter gear for t-shirts and shorts.
Before joining ABC 27, he worked as a weather producer at our sister station WKBW in Buffalo, New York.
Growing up near Lake Erie and watching how snowstorms developed and blanketed cities sparked his love for weather.
Dave started his meteorological education at Buffalo State University and went on to get his degree in Geosciences in Operational Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
When it comes to the tropics, Dave is no stranger to hurricanes in Florida. While working for Scripps he’s had the opportunity to cover Dorian, Irma, and Matthew.
When he’s not working, Dave is always down for a good meal. He also loves to explore with his dog Slappy.
Dave is excited for the opportunity to learn more about communities from the Big Bend to South Georgia.
