TALLAHASSEE, FL - Wednesday morning for Pinterest Party we are learning to carve wood.
WTXL's Christine Souders and Meteorologist Max Tsaparis took a short lesson from Barbara Mann from Capital City Carvers.
Barbara Mann has been carving for 40+ years.
She says safety first, use protective gloves and thumb protection before working with the knife.
Both Christine and Max attempted to carve a miniature owl.
Mann says you must start carving the body, then the head is last.
More on Second Cup: Max and Christine continue to carve the owl and Mann explains where you can learn how to do it.
