TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Internet can be a great resource, but there's always the potential for risks in the cyber world.

That's why the Tallahassee Writers Association is dedicating its upcoming monthly meeting to the Perils of Online Publishing. Bruce Ballister will lead a panel including with Lyla Ellzey and George Encizo, TWA authors who have made their share of mistakes in negotiating the online publishing world.

Also, anyone interested in volunteering with the 2016 Conference in any capacity can meet at 5:30 p.m. to help get planning underway.

TWA President Peggy Kassees and board member Lyla Ellzey joined us on WTXL Sunrise for all the details. Click the thumbnail to see the interview.

The next meeting of the Tallahassee Writers Association is Thursday, July 16 at the American Legion in Lake Ella. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the program starts at 6:30 p.m.
