TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Tallahassee Community Chorus and Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center are teaming up for a special concert.

It's thanks to the Unity 11 concert Sing for the Cure®: A Proclamation of Hope.

Organizers describe the event as "multi-movement choral work, with orchestra and narration, based on true stories of breast cancer survivors, their families and community."

Members from the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center and the community will serve as the evening's narrators, including Dr. Sally Karioth, County Commissioner Mary Ann Lindley, Rev. Candace McKibben and Jennifer Taylor.

The concert helps raise awareness about the fight against cancer right here at home, plus supports the educational and outreach efforts of the Tallahassee Community Chorus.

The Unity 11 concert Sing for the Cure®: A Proclamation of Hope is Saturday, January 23 at 8 p.m. at the Ruby Diamond Concert Hall (222 S. Copeland Street).

Tickets are $22 for adults, $18 for seniors and $6 for students.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the educational and outreach efforts of The Tallahassee Community Chorus.
