MIDWAY, FL- Maurice Mangum is our Sunrise Rocks Performer.

You can catch him at an upcoming show at Wahoo Seafood Grill on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

He'll also be at the Junction at Monroe on south Monroe St. at 10 p.m.at the Songwriters Showcase. featuring music by Tom Mason from Nashville, Cat Braaten from St. George Island, and from Tallahassee, Travis Jerome, Ryley Smith, McCall Chapin, Bruce Graybeal, and The Brown Goose Unplugged.

Mangum has shared the stage with amazing artists.

They include bands like Sister Hazel, Tonic & Emerson Hart, Ever Clear, Maroon5, Live, Blues Traveler, John Mayer & David Ryan Harris, Annie Lennox, Sting, Fuel, Bon Jovi, Poison, The Cult, STRYPER and many more.

His influences include Steve Perry of Journey, Emerson Hart of Tonic, David Ryan Harris of John Mayer, Ryan Adams (ala, Whiskeytown), Bono, Robert Plant, Keith Urban & the soulful edge of guys like Otis Redding & Smokey Robinson. I'm currently writing & recording a rock record with Greg Baker, Kyle Caswell & Ethan Caswell.

He says his true love of the art most definitely flows in the acoustic, singer/songwriter world.

Mangum's most recently started co-writing with one of Nashville's finest up & coming singer/songwriters, Travis Jerome.

Travis won a BMI award for song of the year & most played song of the year. He wrote a song called, "What We Ain't Got" & Jake Owen picked it up.
