TALLAHASSEE, FL - Today on Second Cup. we talked about an upcoming event to help senior citizens make sure they don't fall victim to scams, whether it be online, mail or by phone.

Allison Bryant, is the state wide elder abuse prevention coordinator for the 2017 Elder Abuse and Fraud Prevention Summit, she along with Allen Burkes, the First Commerce Credit Union and Chairman for Big Bend Fraud Task Force joined WTXL's Christine Souders for an interview.

The 2017 Elder Abuse and Fraud Prevention Summit takes place June 15th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tallahassee Community College, inside the Workforce Development Building (444 Appleyard Dr. Tallahassee).

The event is free and open to the public.

It's to educate the community about how to identify and report elder abuse and fraud.
