The Junior League of Tallahassee (JLT) is gearing up for two major annual events - Whale of a Sale and Operation Prom Dress.
Whale of a Sale, JLT's largest fundraiser since 1924 featuring gently used merchandise at low prices, will take place Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Tallahassee Mall, former Dilliards wing. The cost to enter is $1.
A preview party will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the same location. Tickets are $5.
Operation Prom Dress will take place Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the GFWC Women's Club of Tallahassee in Los Robles, 1513 Cristobal Drive. The event is free. During the event, young women in the Tallahassee and surrounding areas will be able to "shop" for a prom dress, shoes and accessories, all for free.
