BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) -- If your New Year's resolution is to get fit, the Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCA has a lot of ways to get you in shape!

For adults, the YMCA there offers  more than 120 group fitness classes per month, plus small group training and personal trainers. There's also recreational sports programs for kids and adults as well as aquatics.

Still though, the group is offering some new choice for the new year.

Boot camps are transforming into Extreme Fitness classes. The Silver Splash program is also back this year. This aquatic exercise offering for seniors is a continuation of the popular Silver Sneakers program.

For the first time, the group is also planning an indoor triathlon.

This year also marks the the Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCA's 30th anniversary. The facility opened its doors June 20, 1986 , "thanks to land donated in memory of Rueben Reynolds and construction funds donated in memory of Ben and Ethel Kirbo. The fundraising team for the project was headed up by the late Raymond Miles, who continued his dedication to the YMCA for more than two decades. The Kirbo, Miles and Reynolds families have sustained their support through the years by adding a child care building, a tennis courts and numerous capital improvements," said

Kevin Angell, president and CEO of the Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCA.
