The Marine Corps League is a veterans organization for the Marine Corps and FMF core men who served with Marines during wartime. The Arthur R Meyer Detachment 472 of the Marine Corps League in Tallahassee is one of the few in Florida. Their goal is to do public service and provide help to veterans in need of support. It also gives former Marines the opportunity to be with, meet and share stories with other Marines. The MCL will be involved in a few upcoming events.

Tuesday, March 19, 2013 is Vietnam Veterans Proclamation Day. The state of Florida is going to be making a proclamation that March 19th of every year is going to be Vietnam Veterans Day at the Florida Capitol. on March 19, 2013 an event is taking place at the Florida Capitol Courtyard from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It is also Florida National Guard Day and they will have a static display.

Saturday March 30, 2013 is the Welcome Home for Vietnam Veterans event. It begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Vietnam Memorial in Downtown Tallahassee. There will be a ceremony to welcome the veterans, and the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs is providing a breakfast for the veterans.
