Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL) - ABC 27 Evening News Anchor Abbey Maurer made a major announcement Monday on the News at 6 . . . she's having a baby!
Abbey and her husband are excited to welcome the baby and move into this next phase of life. Besides being an anchor and reporter, she was most recently in the World Ballet Production of the holiday classic The Nutcracker.
"I just finished playing a mother and now I am going to be a mother. I can't be more thrilled", Abbey said.
"I'm so relieved to be able to finally tell people. It's the best secret in the world and I wanted to share it with my WTXL family just as soon as I could".
Abbey will continue to anchor and report right up until the baby gets here. She says that she wouldn't have it any other way.
