I left my hometown of Atlanta, Georgia in 2018 to pursue journalism.
Leaving Georgia State University to attend California State University in Sacramento, California.
I started freelance reporting by traveling to the Bay area to cover homelessness, transgender health and politics. I did all those things while accidentally falling for Lake Merritt in Oakland, spending as much time as I could by the lake.
I left Sacramento after graduating to travel to the opposite side of the country to begin my TV news career at abc 7 and FOX 22 news in Bangor, Maine.
Yes, Maine.
There I worked my way up to become the weekend anchor and producer.
I have listened to stories from the sole survivor of a triple murder case, covered a gubernatorial election live, and heard from folks who were fighting to find permanent housing all while living on an encampment site.
Now I'm back south and enjoying the food and being close to home as I'll be covering all things Bainbridge, Georgia.
When I'm not working I like to... Truthfully, I'm always working.
