MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Rainy and stormy areas have been developing along the I-75 corridor this afternoon, with some storms gathering and producing heavy rain and frequent lightning. Isolated cases of strong to severe conditions may occur through mid-evening as the activity drifts to the southwest and west. Some rumbles of thunder may be experienced after sunset before weakening begins. Overnight, leftover clouds will be present while clearing commences inland. Lows will drop into the low 70s north, mid 70s south. Increased sunshine and reduced rain threat are forecast for the entire area Wednesday as east and northeast winds tap into the dry air around the high-pressure area over the Carolinas. It'll still be hot in the low 90s but not as extreme and muggy as today. That same high will keep rain chances limited through the rest of the week.
The high may also play a role in a yet-to-be-named tropical disturbance that may develop near the Bahamas by the end of the week.
