(WTXL) -- The tropical wave in the Yucatán Peninsula continues to organize and as of the 5pm ET, the disturbance has a 40% chance of organizing into a tropical depression within the next 5 days. The main threat with this system locally, is still expected to be heavy rains likely starting Sunday night.
A disturbance north of the Caribbean islands has a 20% chance of organizing within the next 5 days. It is expected to move slowly north/northwest over that time period.
Tropical Depression Ida continues to maintain weak depression strength, and the forecast track for Ida takes it west as a tropical depression.
