Wakulla County Correctional Officer Arrested for Bringing Drugs into Prison

CRAWFORDVILLE, FL (WTXL) - A Correctional Officer from Wakulla County was arrested Thursday night after the Department of Corrections says she brought tobacco and marijuana into the county correctional institution.

Officials say Vivian Roath is charged with Introduction of Contraband into a State Correctional Institution, Conspiracy to Introduce Contraband into a State Correctional Institution and Sexual Misconduct.

Roath is accused of bringing tobacco and marijuana into the Wakulla Correctional Institution between February and May of this year.

According to court documents at the time of her arrest, Roath also admitted to some kind of sexual misconduct as well but details on that incident were redacted.

Roath was taken and booked in the Wakulla County Jail.
