TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The victim left critically injured after a Saturday night shooting in Tallahassee has been identified.
The Tallahassee Police Department says that Erick J. Burch Jr., 21, was shot and injured around 11:08 p.m. on Saturday.
Officers were flagged down in the 2500 block of South Monroe Street and where they found Burch suffering from gunshot wounds. Later, investigators determined the incident that led to the shooting occurred in the 2600 block of Saxon Street.
An initial investigation shows there may have been several other witnesses to the shooting.
The investigator in charge of the case is asking anyone who was at the scene but did not speak with TPD officers to please call (850) 891-4200. Anyone with information may also call Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS if they wish to remain anonymous.
