GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Arraignment was held on the morning of Thursday, May 4, for the individuals charged with the murder of Javontez Tyrie Thomas.

All persons have pled not guilty to the crime and a case management hearing is scheduled for Thursday, July 6.

Michael Butler and Sabrina Robinson were present for arraignment, but Christina Harris did not attend.

A mother and two others are facing murder charges after Gadsden County deputies found a malnourished 17-year-old boy dead.

A Gadsden County grand jury indicted Sabrina Robinson, 17-year-old Javontez Tyrie Thomas's mother, her boyfriend, Michael Butler, and the teen's sister, Christina Harris.

All three are now facing charges for murder, aggravated child abuse and child neglect. There were all arrested back in October 2016.

Deputies said they went to Robinson's home in Havana and when they arrived, paramedics on the scene had already pronounced her son dead.

They said that the child was 45 pounds at the time of his death.

Further investigation revealed that the body was already beginning to break down. A early autopsy showed that the boy had suffered from severe malnutrition and injuries that matched up with their suspicions of severe neglect.

All three are scheduled for a plea hearing on May 4th.
