Troopers Say Two Seriously Injured After Car Overturns in Leon County

Posted

LEON COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - Troopers said two people are suffering from critical and serious injuries after a Leon County crash that resulted in an overturned car.

Florida Highway Patrol said that the car was traveling west on Monroe Street Thursday afternoon when traffic began to slow down and the driver, Tyler Elliott, swerved to the left to avoid hitting the car in front of him.

As a result, the car went into the median and into a ditch, according to troopers. FHP said that this caused the car to overturn, ejecting Randal Camper, one of the passengers, from the car.

Troopers said that Camper and Elliot were transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for their injuries. Camper suffered critical injuries while Elliot suffered from serious injuries.

FHP said the other passenger in the car, Kathy Elliot, suffered minor injuries.

They said that charges are pending further investigation into the crash.
