ADEL, GA (WALB) - Georgia State Patrol reports that three people in Cook County are dead after a car accident Saturday afternoon.
The Cook County Sheriff, EMS, and fire department all responded to the scene.
GSP reports that William Hinson, 39, from Waycross was driving a 2007 black Ford F-150 that was engulfed in flames.
The other vehicle was a 2001 Chevy Silverado had a husband and wife inside.
Edgan Walker, 64, and Patricia Walker, 67, were both from Adel.
Our sister station, WALB, spoke with a few people who live on Anitoch about the accident.
“It just breaks my heart and all I can do is just pray for them and hope that they do better,” says Walter Pearce, bystander.
"I was outside at the time when it happened and like I said I just heard a big bang, and I ran out there to see what was going on and as far as we know now there was like three people that were involved in it are dead,” says Angel Marquez, another bystander.
Two out of the three next of kin of the dead have been notified.
One of those next of kin was notified at the scene.
GSP says this crash is still under investigation.
