TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - Florida State University Interim President Dr. Garnett Stokes announced Wednesday several initiatives aimed at preventing sexual violence on campus.
The Know More Awareness Campaign kicked off at noon with student-led activities at Oglesby union. The campaign is an effort to educate the university community about responsible conduct and the meaning of consent as well as prevention and intervention.
FSU is also conducting a comprehensive review of all of its policies to ensure that policy language is in alignment with the most recent federal guidelines. The school is hoping to change the sexual assault statistics currently coming out of FSU.
FSU is aiming to decrease this number through training initiatives, more strict policies, and a new website launch that will provide students with more resources for sexual assault.
