UPDATE: The Georgia State Fire Marshal's Office is currently reviewing video footage taken by eyewitnesses. The complex's corporate officials are working on keeping the destroyed building secure as the investigation continues.
THOMASVILLE, GA (WTXL) -- An apartment building in Thomasville caught fire early on Thanksgiving morning.
Fire crews were at the Walnut Square Apartments on Hall Road as well as the American Red Cross of South Georgia.
Firefighters said one building with eight apartment units is a total loss. The fire started around 2:30 a.m. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross is helping 12 people get back on their feet.
The cause is still under investigation, but they don't suspect anything suspicious.
