Taylor County, Fla.--  Emergency crews in Taylor County are dealing with flooding after the county received over six inches of rain in just the last 24 hours alone.

The county is under a flood watch until Wednesday.

The flooding has already prompted one rescue; Monday morning crews had to save a woman who was stranded after trying to drive through water over the road.

Emergency Management says they were able to bring her to safety but she was taken to the hospital.

Crews are reminding residents to never drive through standing or moving water on the roadways.

"Turn around don't drown, that's just not a saying that we take lightly, especially if there's any moving water, it only takes just you know a foot or so for a vehicle to float and someone to, their vehicle to wash off the roadway into deeper water." says Taylor county Emergency Management Director, Steve Spradley.

In addition to road closures, if you're in Taylor County, emergency management is providing sandbags.

In Perry, they're giving out 25 sandbags per resident at the Public Works Department.

In Steinhatchee, the Fire Department is also distributing sandbags.
