TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The new small-format Target store opened on West Tennessee Street, near Florida State's campus on Sunday.
Target officials say this store is about a quarter of the size of a normal store, catering to students in the area.
Store team leader, Derrek Williamson, says even on their first official day, the place has been packed.
"There is a lot of energy in the building right now. We are giving away free bags all-day and have canvas bags for all our guests that come in," said Williamson. "Guest are really excited to have us here and really discovering that we have a wide-variety of selections including groceries making us very competitive in the area."
This is Target's third store in the Tallahassee area and only the second small-format store in Florida.
