TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee woman died after the car she was driving left a roadway, collided with a tree and caught fire. 

The driver, Mona S. Arnold, 48, became entrapped as a result of the damage, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The accident happened at 7:15 p.m. Sunday at Springhill Road and O. H. Hudson Lane. 

Eyewitnesses say she was unresponsive as the vehicle caught on fire.

Emergency crews found the vehicle fully engulfed, troopers said in a news release.
